Requirements & Responsibilities
Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field required
EIT Certified is required; PE or on track to obtaining PE strongly preferred
Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in civil site design or related field required
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to land development, zoning, stormwater management, and permitting processes
Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential

A Civil Cad Technician’s Responsibilities will include the completion of entitlement exhibits, concept planning, preliminary and final engineering plans, stormwater management plans, erosion control plans and subdivision plats. Field work such as site condition verification and witnessing utility testing may be needed. This position will be under the direction and supervision of licensed Professional Engineers and working with a team of other experienced survey professionals.
Responsibilities
Prepare concept site plans and exhibits
Prepare preliminary and final engineering plans
Prepare utility plan and profiles.
Prepare roadway cross sections
Prepare mass grading and final grading plans
Formulate utility and earther work plan quantities
Prepare digital terrain models and contouring
Reads and understands plans and specifications
Perform earthwork volume calculations
Know basic sources of measurement errors
Self-motivated and organized with good decision-making skills
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualification
Previous experience or desire to learn Civil engineering principles
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar programs)
Ability to read and interpret construction plans

P3 Civil is in search of an ambitious and talented professional to serve as a Survey Crew Chief in our growing Charlotte, NC office. The Survey Crew Chief will focus on the fundamentals of land surveying as well as P3 general standards. This role contributes to and supports the Survey Department in day-to-day field operations, such as operating equipment, maintaining equipment, collecting neat and accurate field data, cutting lines, holding the rods, loading and unloading equipment, etc. The Survey Crew Chief is encouraged to ask questions and seek mentorship to better understand the land surveying profession as well as lead a survey crew safely and efficiently.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 4 years of progressive experience in land survey field operations and proficient with land surveying equipment Essential Job Functions
Lead a team of surveyors to ensure efficient and accurate data collection
Oversee the team’s field survey operations, equipment setup, and quality control measures
Address client concerns and provide exceptional customer service throughout the project

The Designer will interface with project design teams and assist in the development and advancement of projects in all phases of the design process. They will work on a variety of projects serving some of our key market sectors including residential, commercial, institutional, municipal, parks & recreation and urban design.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of landscape design concepts, plans, and drawings for various projects, including parks, commercial developments, residential communities, and public spaces
Prepare accurate CAD drawings and construction documents ensuring all materials meet industry standards and project requirements, including P3’s CAD and other standards
Demonstrate basic graphic communication skills necessary to communicate design concepts, contribute to the ‘visioning’ process, and document the progression of a design
Conduct site analyses, including measurements, observations, and assessments of existing conditions to inform design decisions
Utilize design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) to create visual representations of landscape designs and prepare presentation materials
Develop plant schedules, details, and specifications to ensure alignment with project design goals, environmental considerations, and aesthetic requirements
Review project deliverables for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all designs meet firm standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with senior design staff and project managers to develop project proposals, presentations, and design reports
Assist in coordinating with other disciplines (e.g., civil engineering, etc) to ensure integrated project delivery
Participate in internal design charrettes and brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and solutions
Participate in client meetings and site visits (as needed) to gather feedback and ensure alignment with project goals
Research and stay updated on industry trends, materials, plants, and sustainable design practices
Begin developing a foundational understanding of local municipal codes and regulations, applying this knowledge to ensure that proposed design solutions comply with zoning, permitting, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle

Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited program in Landscape Architecture, City/Community/Regional Planning, Urban Planning, or related field required
0 – 2 years’ experience (internships, full time, etc.) in Landscape Architectural design or equivalent required
Intends to seek LA licensure
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, 3-D software such as SketchUp, and hand/digital graphic rendering capabilities preferred
Excellent communication, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with strong drive for personal growth and a commitment to continuous improvement
